How long do Tesla batteries last?
Long. Tesla batteries are known for their longevity. According to independent tests, you can drive more than 300,000 km before the battery loses a maximum of 15% capacity. What this means: A new Model 3 Long Range has a range of 600 km (WLTP). With 85% battery capacity after 300,000 km, that's still a range of 510 km. That's enough to drive for 4 hours straight - more than enough in Switzerland. On average, people in Switzerland drive 12,000 km per year. So you would have to drive your Tesla for 25 years straight before the battery range actually decreased by 15%. With a combustion engine, many parts have to be serviced or even replaced at great expense after 300,000 km, e.g. timing belts, catalytic converters or gearboxes. These parts are not found in an electric car, so you save on repair costs. No need to worry about the range. Can I still use Supercharger charging stations with a used Tesla?
Yes. Every Tesla has access to the Tesla Supercharger network. For life! With 36 locations in Switzerland and many more across Europe, there's always a Supercharger nearby.
