Why are interest rates variable with other providers?
Gowago makes it easy for you and offers a standard interest rate. In contrast, many other providers work with variable interest rates. This means that you only find out how high the interest rate will actually be for you once you have submitted your application and disclosed all your personal information.
But why is that? With these providers, the interest rate is determined by your car and your personal finances. With the car, the purchase price or value and age contribute to determining the interest rate.
“Many other providers work with variable interest rates. The interest rate you receive depends on the car you want and your financial situation.”
Several factors are taken into account when assessing your personal financial situation. For example, if you already have other personal loans or a lease in your name, the interest rate will change and can be increased. If you own your own home or have other significant assets, the bank will set the interest rate slightly lower.
The bank does this to assess and offset the financial risk that lending the money to you constitutes. How exactly the interest rate is calculated in each case is often not really transparent to the public.
