A short introduction to taxes
All vehicle taxes are included; this includes the registration of your car, the licences plates, and the annual cantonal tax.
The cantonal office will send the tax bills to your address as the vehicle is registered under your name, however we will pay the invoices. It’s important that you submit your tax bills to us as soon as possible so that we may pay them promptly. You can submit a tax bill online or email us at all-in-one@gowago.ch.
Vignette
Anyone who wants to use the highways of Switzerland must have a valid vignette attached to the windscreen of their car. We’ll send you a new one every year to replace the old one, for free, as a little gift from the gowago.ch team.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the vignette valid for?
The vignette is valid from 1st December of previous year until the 31st of January of the following year. For example the 2021 vignette is valid from 1st December of 2020 until the 31st of January 2022.
Who pays fines for parking, speeding, etc?
Whilst many in Switzerland might consider fines a tax for the roads, you will need to cover any fines you receive.
What happens if I have already paid the taxes?
Don’t worry, send us the bill and proof of payment to all-in-one@gowago.ch and we will reimburse you immediately.
